our vision:

SASSY 2000 is a conference for college-age South Asians interested in activism and social change. The conference aims to provide education and resources on progressive politics of the South Asian diaspora. By the end of this weekend participants will have the tools and information to take action for social justice in our communities and campuses, and a greater understanding of our individual roles in struggles for social and economic justice in our neighborhoods, cities and communities, and globally.

In SASSY 2000, you will be involved in interactive workshops that address issues such as race, gender, class, sexuality and identity in larger social and political contexts.
